Atopic dermatitis as a childhood disease

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic course of allergic reaction on the surface of the skin. Today, atopic dermatitis is a common disease among children, as can adolescents and adults suffer from this disease. Symptoms and clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis:

The main manifestations of atopic dermatitis are itchy skin, dryness and redness. Very often the child combs all available areas of the body that are affected by atopic dermatitis.

With a long course of atopic dermatitis may appear festers, enlarge the lymph nodes, cracks, wet wounds, and the presence of stressful situations. The period of remission is observed most often in the summer. This disease is a change from remission to aggravation.

Diagnosis of atopic dermatitis:

1. Complaints of the child or mother;

3.Examination by a doctor;

4.Blood analysis for the presence of an allergen in the blood;

5. Consultation of dermatologist and allergist;

6. Special tests to determine the type of allergy;

Frequent sweating;

Bathing or showering takes place in warm water for no more than 5 minutes. You can not use a washcloth to affect the irritated skin less, and it is necessary to wipe only by the washing movements of the towel, and then apply a softener on irritated areas of the skin.

Psychotherapy is used to learn relaxation techniques to relieve stress. Also prescribed means, to stop itching, most often it is antihistamines and emollients, so that the skin was in a moisturized state. Hormonal drugs and antibiotics relieve itching, improve the effect on the skin.
